A study of "Art Nouveau"

Looking at the Art Nouveau book I had,

I understood that is composed of curves and vine-like patterns.

I think I couldn't express it on my freeform crocheting well.

I wish I could make it with more unevenness

 ...I'm thinking now.

It is a study sized about 30cm×23cm.

Tokyo Station

It has sent lots of trains, people and things to north, south, east and west. Also, it has welcomed them all, so it places in the center of Tokyo and the middle in Japan. It has looked a bit classic style, among the most modern buildings. It seems to hand down long time lots people's life as if it was a storyteller...

I used Tokyo Station building with the strong color wool yarns and the back buildings I did with the pale color lace yarns and cotton yarns, because the near objects would be seen clearly and the further away scene would be hazy.

Motifs are my galaxies

I could not understand well about the galaxies, and I could not think deeply about it....

Even so I do it...may be a motif and motifs!

 I've just finished my bag using many motifs.

Perhaps, my idea might be off the point in this time....

but I decided to send it to 2018 Challenge. 

Because, “participating is important”, I think so too!

The contour line of Mt.Fuji

 One day a good idea came down to me, it's "contour line".

 I checked it which of Mt.Fuji (the most famous mountain in Japan) on my PC.

So beautiful lots of lines, but not any colors there...

I used many colors that I like and I crocheted it so hard day after day.

Freeform crochet, though I've almost done it with single crochet.

 This time I've finished it only a part, and only around the top of Mt.Fuji.

Besides, it is independent of the scale model.

"Stand out"

Almost flowers are anxious to stand out in the spring of Japan.

Each of them do scramble for leadership competition...

I crocheted a wall hanging such their heart.

It reflects my mind...

The water holds showing us always various patterns.

I think it would be as if it were a kaleidoscope!

And it must have something reflected each our minds...

This vest is my mind, of course the shining waves are my motifs, flaring freely!

I did crochet free form this time so that I've desired such figures.

 My title is "Thin and Thick".

 I thought the variations of a yarn. I intended to change the expression of that, I used various colors and yarns instead.

And some motifs were crocheted with the same color spangles

 so that one color is monotonous, they are a bit bright on it!

Excavation

One day, I found my knitting motif like an ammonite.

I was determined to make “2013 Challenge scrumble” such impression then.

I’ve crocheted and knitted every day as if I excavated a pile of stones till appear it…

Was what world ammonites lived… in that ancient era?

I don’t know anything about it though…

〔I could understand it’s the Mesozoic era about 252 to 66 million years ago so that I looked it in Wikipedia....〕

I dropped into deep thought…and I tried to crochet my imagination…all day and every day, so it took me a lot of time…

And then…

Finally I’ve arrived at the place …that is my scrumble…!

Even though it was too small, it’s my “Mother Earth”…

Like an abstract photo

If anything, I like a modern art, an abstract object and such a photo…

Though I could not understand it enough …

I was challenged to construct, crocheting, a form of cube with yarn this time. The 30 cubes became like a globe, and I did not use in it a wire.

I put it on the clear acrylic box, and then I took a photo from just above.

I like this one; I could see something like an abstract one.

I embellished these wall hangings with many motifs in hyperbolic crochet.

Those are plants, insects, and fungi even... The world of 1000 years after… everything in Toxic jungle there...

I was inspired by the story from the Japanese animation of "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind".

Now I can’t possibly write all of that story, though, after watching it, everyone would know that the jungle plants are producing clear water.

And then, it might have told us we need to coexist rather than fight...

The film ends with scenes of people and insects living together in peace...

I conceived a new scrumble that has motifs that can be attached or removed!

So, “My world” is puzzling now about constructing the motifs!

This scrumble will be the vest front.
