Garden Weirdlings

These weirdlings love to roam outside in the garden beds.

These are crocheted with my own handspun and filled with yarn scraps.

Piece Name - Dice of Chance

I really enjoyed this year's theme. After making the individual scrumbles I decided to put them into a dice square form to follow the theme.

I have been participating in this for fourteen years and only have missed one year. I love participating each year.

I used mostly fingering weight yarns with a mixture of fuzzy yarns worked in. Wool, silk, nylon, mohair, and angora were all used in this piece.

I really like flowers so just had to do some of the art nouveau flowers in my piece.

I really like the simplicity of art nouveau designs.

I decided to do my favorite style of home architecture, Tudor style. The old world storybook feel of this style just appeals to me with it's mixture of textures.

Brilliance, Fire Within to me means creativity. I created myself with various fiberarts inside a hula hoop.

In this piece are crochet, tatting, bobbin lace, knitting, weaving, embroidery, felting, and quilting.

Around my head are charms including spinning, a sheep and an alpaca.

This piece is dedicated to Mary Jo Mundell.

I chose double split-complementary/pentagonal which involves 5 colors.
I did blue violet, red violet, orange, yellow and green inside embroidery hoops.
I collect rubber duckies so I added duck buttons throughout.
