Crazy For Red Ascot

Since a single color can have many hues, I chose to use part of a skein that is different tones of reds, removing only one section that looked black. The ascot was made as one continuous serpentine shape, with every other section knitted short rows, then different crochet textured stitches for the alternate sections. Although the project started off as a scarf, half way through, I realized it made an excellent ascot.

This multi-media hanging was inspired by the swirls and twirling brush strokes of Vincent Van Gogh in such paintings as The Starry Night, Blue Sky, Landscape with Olive Tree, Wheat Fields and other pictures with a sky.
The art felted side uses some of Van Gogh's moody colors and the other his combo of bold and lighter tones depicted with some metallic thread and beads. You could say the top corners depict his ears before he cut one off.
The hanger is a recycled plastic and a short piece of copper wire, duct-taped together. Altogether, a fun project to create!

This is my story and I’m sticking to it.

There once was a Grammy who kept miss-placing her glasses. She was very upset so she got out her trusty tea pot with its special free formed cozy. While drinking her tea, she found her glasses hanging onto her Crochet Queen inspired designer cabochon pin. The glasses and pin wouldn’t be separated, so Grammy started wearing them both, and no longer had an issue with missing glasses.

The end!

A friend named this scrumble Tempo, as it looks like an 8th note. It reminds me of the rhythm of my life right now.  There are some high notes, some low notes, but mostly my notes are scattered willy-nilly throughout my score.
