Hello,  my name is Scrumbles. I have been born of love.

My origins are the crochet done by Reta Kell. Her crochet and craft supplies are honoured in me. 

Reta is now very loved in a Nursing Home in Queensland Australia.

She is unable to form my final life now, however I know I am so very much loved. 

I have been brought to life by her Daughter Veronica Smith.

This piece was inspired by the repeating pattern of the life-cycle of Moths and Butterflies. 

They undergo complete metamorphosis going through a four-stage life cycle of egg - larva / caterpillar - pupa/chrysalis - imago/adult.

This work depicts the colours of 3 species of native Australian birds that we are fortunate to have visit our home daily

The earth tones with a shot of blue belong to the Blue-winged Kookaburra (Dacelo leachii).

The simpleness of the yellow against crisp white is the Sulphur-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua galerita).

The vibrant blue, green, red and yellow belong to the Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglossus haematodus).
