Jude’s Twister

A tornado or twister is a violent and rapidly rotating column of air which is in contact with both the ground and the base of a cumulonimbus cloud.  Whilst to the observer, from a safe distance, a tornado can be a spectacular sight, to those in it’s path it leaves chaos and devastation.

I hope I never experience the real thing, my twister is soft and gentle and would not hurt a fly. The base and funnel are made of felt whilst the decoration is mesh and freeform crochet and its stands approximately twelve inches high.

  1. Oh my! A huge tornado hit my house in March and took out almost every tree in my yard but left the house with roof and deck damage; so i never thought I'd "like" a tornado. This one is awesome with the height and shape implying its force. I "like" it!

  2. Wow!!! I never imagined to create a "twister"! And this is so cool! Your use of texture is astounding! Let's pray that your twister will serve to keep any real ones at bay!
