Melba Vincent
Fremont,
California, USA
This multi-media hanging was inspired by the
swirls and twirling brush strokes of Vincent Van Gogh in such paintings as The
Starry Night, Blue Sky, Landscape with Olive Tree, Wheat Fields and other
pictures with a sky.
The art felted side uses some of Van Gogh's moody
colors and the other his combo of bold and lighter tones depicted with some
metallic thread and beads. You could say the top corners depict his ears before
he cut one off.
The hanger is a recycled plastic and a short
piece of copper wire, duct-taped together. Altogether, a fun project to create!
