It is with a sad heart that we hear the news of Lynda Morgan’s passing.
She has been a valued member of The International Freeform Fiberart Guild for many years,
and has had her work included in our annual challenge for seven consecutive years.
Sadly, she died in June before the 2017 show was published, and so did not get to see
her entry online this year.
Our sincere condolences go to her family, friends, and loved ones.

Mother Earth's Door...
The memories of being raised on a farm in Texas brings to mind many patterns of nature
The male peacock strutting his stuff to get his lady's attention
Wild flower covered fields and a horse eating the sweet grass
A beautiful garden with shiny red tomatoes and corn stalks blowing in the breeze
Paper dolls, mud pies, building forts in the woods, listening to the birds sing their songs,
and a rustle of leaves from a possum family on their way home
Everyday out of my home sweet home and through Mother Earth's door for the next adventure
Texas grapevine was used for the wreath. I bought the door and peacock feathers.

ReplyDeleteI will miss you Lynda, and your chatty, friendly emails and your creative mind and fiberart. Even though I never met you in person, I am proud to have been able to call you my friend for the last 7 years.
Such a beautiful fantasy and a lovely mixed media creation! We all bemoan the loss of a creative soul!
ReplyDeleteMy condolences to get family and friends. She left a lovely tribute to life.
ReplyDeleteThis piece is both inviting and lovely...with a little mystery and beauty.
