Mel, you loved the Japanese Tea Garden in
San Francisco's Golden Gate Park so much that I tried to recreate it here for you with its Japanese maples, evergreens, azaleas, irises, and water lilies.
The dark patch at the bottom and left of the scrumble is the pond, complete with red and orange koi no less. Do you remember that you gave me some of these pieces years ago in a scrumble exchange? I am sure you will be heartened that other friends are represented too, with flower patterns from Prudence Mapstone, Bonnie Pierce, and Margaret Hubert. Thank you so much for sharing your generous heart and spirit with all of us. I miss you dearly! -- Lang Anh
