Out of the Ashes 

Paradise, 

Was it? Will it be again?

In a matter of hours,

Lives, loves, memories, dreams 

All gone.

Panic,  fear, planes and flames. 

Memories indelibly, literally 

Burned into their minds.

Prayers for lives lost, dreams destroyed. 

Digging for bits and pieces, 

Hope's found in rubble left behind. 

Spring came, birds and blooms, interspersed in the ash.

Paradise returning?
