California Wildflowers

Springtime brings carpets of colorful spring blooms to large areas of California. 
Wildflower season starts with an early spring in the desert regions of southern California and works its way northward, to the delight of flower lovers. 

My freeform crochet shawl is my fantasy interpretation of a dazzling kaleidoscopic hillside filled with a variety of native California wildflowers.
